Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience managing macOS environments
- Strong experience with externally hosted systems
- Proven ability in IT services and infrastructure design and management
- Experience with virtualisation technologies
- ITIL certification or strong ITIL knowledge
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Strong technical project management skills
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Proficient in macOS, Networking (DNS, DHCP), Basic Linux, Jamf, Cisco Meraki, and Scripting (Bash and Python)
- Knowledge of firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
- Strong work ethic and commitment to high standards
- Passion for delivering an excellent IT experience for users
- Proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused approach
Responsibilities
- Own and manage all technical requirements for approximately 70 users, primarily within a macOS environment
- Provide day-to-day IT support for office-based and remote staff
- Manage all IT equipment, including laptops, mobile devices, and telephony systems
- Maintain and renew software and hardware contracts, ensuring best value and suitability
- Oversee IT services and infrastructure design, management, and improvement
- Liaise with the website team to ensure the company website remains current and optimised
- Ensure IT equipment, software, and working practices are effective, secure, and fit for purpose
- Lead and manage the IT team to deliver high-quality infrastructure and support services
Description
We are seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead and develop our internal IT function, supporting approximately 70 staff in a predominantly macOS environment. This senior, hands-on role is based in Central London and reports directly to the CEO, contributing to strategic technology planning and decision-making across our business.
