Must:
We seek candidates who possess solid knowledge of IT infrastructure including Windows Server and Active Directory. A strong background in Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online, particularly in installation, migrations, and administration, is necessary. Additionally, experience with networking (switches, firewalls, routers), as well as backups and disaster recovery (particularly with Veeam), is essential. Familiarity with VMware vSphere and virtualization is desirable. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer communication skills. This role is perfect for individuals eager to progress from positions like 2nd Line Engineer, 3rd Line Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Infrastructure Support Analyst into a Professional Services or Project Engineer role.
Responsibilities
In this position, I will assist in delivering IT infrastructure and cloud projects for clients throughout the UK. My tasks will include supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Exchange migrations. I will gain hands-on experience with VMware, Veeam, networking, and disaster recovery solutions, while also producing accurate technical and project documentation. Acting as a point of escalation for troubleshooting complex issues, I will work closely with Technical Consultants and Pre-Sales Engineers to validate solutions. Developing strong customer-facing and consultancy skills will be essential, along with continuing to build my expertise through training, certifications, and mentoring.
