Requirements
Must:
- British nationality is required due to the sensitive nature of the work.
- Professional certification such as CCNP, CCNA, or Fortinet FCP.
- Extensive experience in network design and management across Cisco and Fortinet technologies.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting security clearance.
- Advanced knowledge of Fortinet Fortigate Firewalls, including FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
- Strong proficiency with Cisco Routers and Switches using IOS-XE.
- Practical experience with BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and network monitoring tools.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot VoIP QoS and compression processes.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical authority for the design, build, and commissioning of internal and customer networks.
- Maintain the integrity of network security through proactive management of firewalls and encryption protocols.
- Resolve complex routing and acceleration issues within long-latency network environments.
- Support the full lifecycle of bespoke products by producing detailed technical documentation and schematics.
