Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in backend development, particularly with Node.js and TypeScript
- Familiarity with database systems, preferably MongoDB
- Proven track record of designing and building scalable production systems
- Ability to think critically about performance, trade-offs, and long-term maintainability
- Comfortable working in high-growth, startup environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a curious, pragmatic mindset
- Exposure to eCommerce, payments, or marketplace platforms is a plus, but not essential
- Ability to take ownership and work autonomously
Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the CTO and a small engineering team
- Build, improve, and scale key parts of the platform
- Focus on creating a seamless customer experience through backend solutions
- Take ownership of projects and contribute to end-to-end delivery
- Prioritize quick and proper deployment of features
- Work within an API-first, event-driven architecture
- Engage in discussions around system design and architecture
