I am looking for a candidate who ideally holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional, would be advantageous. The ideal applicant will have prior experience in a technical support role or help desk environment. You should be proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, with familiarity in operating systems such as Windows, macOS, Linux, and productivity software like Microsoft Office and G Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, allowing you to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. A strong customer service orientation and the ability to analyze problems while implementing effective solutions are critical. You should be collaborative and willing to learn new technologies and procedures in our fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to provide technical support and assistance to end-users within our organization. You will respond to incoming support inquiries through phone, email, or our ticketing system in a timely and courteous manner. Your responsibilities include analyzing and troubleshooting technical issues reported by end-users, which may involve hardware, software, and network problems. You will provide effective solutions, guiding users through corrective steps or performing remote troubleshooting. Unresolved issues should be escalated to the appropriate IT colleagues or vendors. Additionally, I would like you to assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of software applications and updates, document support tickets and resolutions, and provide basic training on software applications and IT best practices. You will also monitor system performance and security, conduct routine maintenance tasks, and adhere to established IT policies and guidelines.
Description
In this position, I will assess your service delivery to ensure sustained excellence in project and process delivery. We expect you to demonstrate efficient service delivery with continuous improvement and contribute to innovations that enhance safety, quality, or cost. The primary language for daily operations is English, but familiarity with other languages, such as Spanish, French, or Dutch, can be beneficial. You will be required to read and interpret documents, procedure manuals and communicate effectively within various employee levels and with external customers. You will have accountability for delivery and decision-making while blending business and technical understanding to realize a strategic vision. Ideally, you will build strong working relationships with internal customers to facilitate collaboration and issue resolution.
