We are seeking an Identity Security Architect with deep expertise in Kerberos and IAM/password lifecycle processes. To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kerberos, including SPNs, delegation, ticketing, and trusts.
- A strong background in identity security architecture and authentication design.
- Practical experience with password reset procedures and IAM lifecycle processes.
- Proficiency with troubleshooting tools such as klist, setspn, Wireshark, and event logs.
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills to logically break down complex systems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities
In this position, you will lead a structured discovery of our authentication landscape, focusing on Kerberos and password management processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing and documenting existing Kerberos implementations across Active Directory, Windows, and Linux.
- Mapping application and service dependencies while highlighting gaps and architectural risks.
- Reviewing password-reset flows, service account behavior, and identity lifecycle processes.
- Evaluating SPN hygiene, delegation models, ticket lifetimes, encryption types, and trust relationships.
- Producing concise, high-quality architecture documentation and remediation recommendations.
- Collaborating with technical teams to validate findings and support Kerberos integrations.
- Defining clear, repeatable processes for authentication and password management.

Description
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a competitive rate of £660/day (Inside IR35). We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in government or regulated environments, as well as familiarity with IAM platforms, password management, or privileged access tools. A background in authentication risk analysis and remediation planning will also be beneficial.
