Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone who is curious, motivated, and detail-oriented. It would be beneficial for you to have:
- A keen interest in cybersecurity and IT.
- Computer literacy and confidence with digital tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- A full UK driving licence (travel may be required).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (A-levels or Level 3 IT/Business qualifications are a plus).
No prior experience is required – just enthusiasm and a drive to learn. This role will be aligned to the Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist.
Responsibilities
From day one, you will be contributing to real projects and learning about:
- Assisting with security alerts and incidents.
- Assisting with vulnerability scans and patching.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- Helping maintain our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Contributing to policy reviews and awareness training.
- Building the skills to create and manage phishing email simulations.
Description
Step into the fast-moving world of cybersecurity! As our new Information Security Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in protecting systems, managing risks, and supporting compliance. This isn’t a role where you’ll be sat coding all day – you’ll be learning both the technical side of security and the governance/compliance work that keeps us safe and secure. You will be mentored by experienced professionals, work on real projects like simulated phishing campaigns, and follow a structured training programme leading to recognized qualifications. Whether you’re looking to launch your career, or if you are a career changer ready for something new, this apprenticeship offers the skills and confidence to build a future in cybersecurity, risk, or IT governance.
