Requirements
Must:
- Broad technical background with hands-on experience in:
- Microsoft Modern Workplace environment
- Hypervisor technologies (Hyper-V, AHV, or equivalent)
- Networking fundamentals, including LAN, IPv4, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Managed Switches, and VLANs
- Scripting or automation skills, such as PowerShell
- Windows Server (2008–2025) and Windows 10/11
- Active Directory administration
- Veeam Backup (desired but not essential)
- Linux/Unix administration experience (desired but not essential)
- Thrives in a fast-paced IT environment and manages multiple priorities effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Effective collaboration with colleagues and support for continuous improvement initiatives
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure Manager to plan, implement, and document changes to IT infrastructure
- Support the testing, review, and ongoing enhancement of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
- Act as an escalation point for infrastructure incidents, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
- Monitor system alerts and take timely action to maintain service availability and performance
- Provide support to the IT Service Desk, offering guidance on infrastructure-related issues
- Identify opportunities to improve and optimize IT infrastructure, processes, and systems
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation, including standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles
