Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience working as a Senior DevOps Engineer or DevOps Lead, with a background in Software Engineering or Development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services sector, specifically within large retail banking.
- Expertise in technologies such as GitLab, TeamCity, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Rust, .NET, Java, Python, TypeScript, Gradle, Conda, and other build/deployment tools.
- An expert-level understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and the surrounding ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Educate teams on advanced DevOps principles, including DORA capabilities and modern CI/CD practices.
- Assist the software development team in improving how they build and release their applications.
- Support development teams in onboarding to a standardized CI/CD pipeline.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges, including legacy systems, tooling migrations, and testing gaps.
- Encourage sustainable practices like test automation, trunk-based development, and containerization.
Description
We are offering an initial 6-month contract role with hybrid working arrangements in London, with a pay range of £500 - £600, inside IR35.
