Must:
We are looking for candidates with experience in Azure SQL, Data Factory, Analysis Services, and Power BI administration. You should be proficient in Microsoft Azure and Entra, as well as the Microsoft Power Platform and Logic Apps. Experience in Microsoft SharePoint Online administration is also essential. Strong communication skills are vital, including the ability to produce accurate and usable documentation. We value effective time management, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines. Presentation and documentation skills are necessary, along with the ability to facilitate workshops. A mindset focused on IT security is important, and you should be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team. Flexibility and adaptability in your approach to work are key, as is a friendly demeanor when interacting with team members of varying abilities and viewpoints.
Responsibilities
As a Solutions Engineer, you will maintain an awareness of our business plans and strategic roadmaps by engaging and managing key stakeholders. You will liaise with senior divisional staff and users to understand business activities, technology challenges, and innovation needs. Collaborating with Business Analysts, product owners, users, and ICT staff, you will define requirements for technology changes. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the solutions designed are strategically aligned with the division's and delegation's requirements while adhering to applicable governance standards. You will research emerging technologies relevant to our business, develop an in-depth knowledge of our technical service architecture and interfaces, and assist in creating standards and policies for Solutions Design. Furthermore, you will support and communicate governance activities within the ICT function and maintain relationships with external suppliers. Finally, you will help define annual roadmaps and technical visions for our current systems based on feedback, technology trends, and the broader ICT roadmap.
Description
This position is flexible in location, with options in Watford, Horsham, Denton, or Widnes. The salary ranges from £55,000 to £60,000 per annum, and it is a permanent role with a hybrid working model (three days in the office after completing the probation period).
