Requirements

Must:
We are seeking candidates who have experience in IT support or service desk roles. You should have familiarity with HALO ITSM or similar ticketing systems, as well as strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows 10/11. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, along with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail. We look for individuals who are willing to pursue an ITIL Foundation or equivalent. Experience with Active Directory, Teams telephony, and SharePoint Online is a plus. An understanding of IT asset management and user lifecycle processes is also required. A friendly, approachable attitude is a must.

Responsibilities

As the 1st Line IT Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for IT queries via phone, email, and our HALO ITSM system. Your duties will include logging, categorizing, and prioritizing incidents and service requests. You will be resolving first-line issues such as password resets and account lockouts (Active Directory, Microsoft 365), Outlook/email access, shared mailbox setup, printer/scanner connectivity, and basic troubleshooting of Teams, SharePoint, and Windows. You will also provide "how-to" support for Office 365 apps and escalate complex issues to second-line support, ensuring that all documentation is clear. It’s important to keep users informed throughout the ticket lifecycle and to monitor ticket queues to meet SLA targets. Additionally, you will support onboarding/offboarding and maintain IT documentation.

We offer a salary between £26,000 - £31,000 and a hybrid working model with 4 days onsite in Farnham. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with hours from 8:00 to 16:30 or 9:00 to 17:30, including a 1-hour break. You will also be required to be on-call for 1 in 3 Saturdays. We are looking for a friendly, proactive, and technically skilled individual to join our team, someone whose ability to troubleshoot, communicate clearly, and resolve problems efficiently will directly impact both user satisfaction and operational success.
