Must:
We expect candidates to have previous experience working as a Linux Engineer. While being Red Hat Linux Certified is highly desirable, it is essential that you possess solid hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9). Additionally, familiarity with patch management tools such as yum, dnf, or Red Hat Satellite is required.
Responsibilities
As a Linux Engineer, you will be responsible for several key tasks, including performing patching on Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, supporting and tracking vulnerability remediation and compliance activities, and designing, implementing, and managing Linux-based systems and infrastructure to ensure their stability, security, and performance. You will also troubleshoot patching issues and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve them, schedule, validate, and document patch rollouts in accordance with change control, and maintain clear documentation while contributing to operations runbooks.
Description
This is an initial 6-month contract role, offering remote working with compensation ranging from £450 to £500, inside IR35. We are seeking a hands-on Linux Engineer to support our server patching and vulnerability management initiative for a true household name.
