Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who have a background in system administration and IT infrastructure support. You should have experience with hardware configuration, particularly with scanners and printers. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams are necessary, and you should have a willingness to learn and adapt to new software applications, including SAP (training will be provided).
Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide hands-on IT support for implementation activities. Your duties will include setting up and configuring barcode printers, RF scanners, and related hardware. You will assist subject matter experts and power users in preparing hardware and software for go-live readiness. Troubleshooting infrastructure and connectivity issues on-site will be one of your key tasks. Additionally, you will collaborate with the central project team to ensure consistent setup and deployment practices.
Description
We are partnering with a global managed service provider whose end client operates in the manufacturing sector. This position is for an IT Support Engineer on a contract basis, and the contract falls inside IR35. The role is based on-site every day in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland.
