Requirements
Must:
- I require 10 years of experience in cloud data engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable data pipelines.
- You should have expertise in Azure Databricks, including building and managing ETL pipelines using PySpark or Scala.
- A solid understanding of Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and distributed data processing concepts is essential.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics is mandatory.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and pipeline logic is expected.
Responsibilities
- I will need you to lead the end-to-end migration of data lakes to Azure with a core focus on Databricks.
- You will design and implement data pipelines in Azure Databricks, optimizing for performance, cost, and scalability.
- Refactoring and modernizing existing data models to integrate with Power BI will be part of your role.
- It is crucial for you to coordinate phased migrations to ensure zero disruption to live operations.
- Additionally, you will replace legacy tools by consolidating workflows within Databricks and native Azure services.
Description
This is a remote working position for an initial 7-month contract role, with a salary range of £600 - £650, inside IR35. Please note that you will be working in a US time zone. We are partnering with a Global IT Partner to find the right candidate for this role.
