Requirements
Must:
- Extensive SAP IQ (Sybase IQ) DBA experience.
- Strong experience with analytics-focused databases optimized for large-scale data warehousing.
- Hands-on with performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting for Sybase IQ.
- NLS and SAP HANA integration experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead SAP IQ database administration, including monitoring, performance tuning, and optimisation.
- Oversee near-line storage (NLS) solutions and integration with SAP HANA.
- Plan and run database upgrades, patching, migrations, and disaster recovery processes.
- Implement and enforce database best practices, standards, and governance.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to support high-volume data ingestion and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
Description
We are partnering with a Global IT Services Provider to support the search for a Sybase IQ DBA Lead to manage and improve SAP IQ environments for large-scale analytics and data warehousing. This is a 3-month contract role based in London with a hybrid working model, offering a competitive daily rate of £550 - £600, inside IR35.
