Requirements
Must:
- I hold a PhD in a STEM subject and have experience developing numerical simulation code.
- I possess strong numerical programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, Fortran, C#, or similar.
- I demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, allowing me to collaborate effectively with my team.
Responsibilities
I will be using my skills in numerical analysis and numerical methods to develop engineering simulation software for a multi-billion-dollar industry. I will be part of a team that has been leading the way for decades, with a solid client base of multi-national companies. My role will involve working on a new product that requires solving a range of partial differential equations (PDEs) and ordinary differential equations (ODEs) from various areas of physics. My strong understanding of numerical methods and analysis will be crucial in producing a robust and efficient algorithm. Additionally, I will need to implement my work in code, which calls for my programming skills.
Description
I will be joining a dynamic team of mathematicians and scientists who possess a diverse range of skills, all focused on core mathematics. Collaboration will be key, as I will also be working closely with a team of programmers responsible for developing the rest of the application. Our working environment is formal yet collaborative, with the expectation that I will spend most of the week in the office, allowing for one optional day of home working.
