Requirements
Must:
- I require practical experience deploying physical on-prem IT infrastructure, along with experience using infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Python.
- I seek candidates with a good security awareness, including knowledge of hardening checklists, PKI/certificate use, and DevOpsSec.
- A solid understanding of the fundamentals of networking and virtualization is essential (e.g. DHCP, VLANs, Proxmox, Docker, etc.).
- Effective communication skills are necessary for collaborating with members of the IT team and software and hardware engineers from other departments.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for designing and building our IT infrastructure for modern manufacturing facilities.
- Your role will involve all aspects of the build-out, from physical rack-level layout through switches, servers, and storage fabrics to hypervisors and containerized workloads.
- You will work closely with our DevOps team to provide CI/CD hardware and support for internal software projects.
Description
We are an automation company that has raised significant funds and demonstrated our world-leading technology. We are now preparing to build our first factory, and as part of this process, we need a dedicated team of IT professionals. You will work in modern and picturesque offices on the outskirts of Cambridge, and due to the nature of the work, full-time office attendance is required as hybrid working is not available. We offer a competitive salary of around £50,000 depending on experience, along with a strong pension scheme and good medical insurance.
