Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in mobile application development (iOS and Android).
- Proficiency in modern mobile frameworks and languages (e.g., Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java, or cross-platform tools like React Native or Flutter).
- Experience interfacing with external APIs and RESTful services.
- Familiarity with Bluetooth (BLE) connectivity or IoT integration is a significant advantage.
- A strong eye for UI/UX and a passion for creating clean, maintainable code.
- Based in or near Newcastle (though the role is fully remote, periodic local meetups may occur).
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain native or cross-platform mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
- Collaborate with the hardware and backend teams to integrate IoT devices via Bluetooth and Cloud APIs.
- Optimise application performance for a smooth, responsive user interface.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, from initial concept to deployment on the App Store and Google Play.
- Identify and squash bugs, and continuously improve the codebase.
