Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrable experience in an MSP or multi-client IT support environment
- Strong all-round technical background with the ability to work independently
- Proven experience delivering client-facing projects
- Confident troubleshooting across mixed environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access
- Understanding of Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO)
- Basic networking skills (routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs)
- Knowledge of firewalls and security fundamentals
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Familiarity with endpoint management and security tooling
- Understanding of telephony basics
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi implementation and management
- Driving Licence (required)
- Ability to communicate in English (required)
- Must have own vehicle for work use every day
- Authorisation to work in the United Kingdom (required)
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second line support across multiple client environments
- Take ownership of complex or higher impact incidents through to resolution
- Perform detailed troubleshooting across desktops, servers, networks, and cloud services
- Act as an escalation point for technicians
- Lead incident resolution while keeping clients informed
- Provide onsite client support, including hardware installs and replacements
- Handle user setups and onboarding
- Conduct network troubleshooting and general IT support tasks
- Configure new devices including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Support office moves, upgrades, and small projects under the Engineering Managers guidance
- Lead and deliver small to medium sized technical projects such as Microsoft 365 migrations
- Contribute to project scoping, planning, and technical design
- Ensure projects are delivered securely, on time, and to agreed standards set by the Engineering Manager
- Act as a technical contact for clients and communicate technical issues clearly
- Provide advice and recommendations to improve reliability and security
- Attend project meetings and technical review discussions when required
- Build trusted relationships through professionalism and consistent delivery
- Ensure work meets internal standards and security best practices
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation and diagrams
- Improve knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures
- Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term fixes
- Support and guide technicians and contribute to team skill development
- Promote good working practices and accountability

Our team is expanding, and we are looking for an IT Engineer who is bright, enthusiastic, and skilled with good people skills. You will be working closely with clients and other team members, taking responsibility for delivering high-quality technical support and leading on complex issues. We offer a competitive salary ranging from £32,000 to £35,500 per year, along with benefits including free on-site parking. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting client projects and mentoring junior staff.
