- Proven experience leading app or digital platform development in a senior product, technology, or innovation role. - Strong understanding of mobile app development, platforms, and deployment processes. - Experience managing third-party developers, agencies, or technical partners. - Track record of delivering digital products from concept to live environment. - Strong grasp of modern app architectures, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and integrations. - Experience with testing frameworks, QA processes, and performance optimisation. - Ability to bridge technical teams and non-technical stakeholders effectively. - Strong interest in emerging technologies and how they can enhance audience engagement. - Experience evaluating new tools, platforms, and technologies in a commercial context. - Understanding of digital engagement, content delivery, and platform scalability. - Strategic thinker with a practical, delivery-focused mindset. - Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. - Collaborative and comfortable working alongside senior advisors. - Calm under pressure, particularly around major launches and live events. - Passionate about innovation, user experience, and digital excellence. - Experience within live events, entertainment, media, or broadcast environments (desirable). - Knowledge of streaming platforms, live content delivery, or second-screen experiences (desirable). - Experience working with data analytics, personalisation, or AI-driven features (desirable). - Background in high-growth or start-up environments (desirable).

Responsibilities

- Own the end-to-end app product roadmap, from concept through launch and ongoing iteration. - Translate business, commercial, and audience needs into clear technical and product requirements. - Ensure the app enhances live event, broadcast, streaming, sponsorship, and audience engagement experiences. - Define and prioritise features including ticketing integration, content delivery, interactivity, data capture, and sponsor activation. - Lead and oversee the design, build, and deployment of the app across relevant platforms (iOS, Android, web or hybrid as required). - Ensure the correct technology stack, platforms, and infrastructure are selected and implemented. - Manage internal and external development teams, vendors, and partners. - Oversee timelines, budgets, and delivery milestones. - Work in partnership with our Technology & Digital Innovation Advisor to explore, assess, and implement emerging technologies. - Identify opportunities around AI, data analytics, personalisation, AR/VR, Web3, live interaction, or new engagement tools where appropriate. - Ensure innovation is practical, scalable, and aligned with user and commercial value. - Own all testing, QA, and performance optimisation processes. - Ensure rigorous pre-launch testing including usability, security, load, and cross-platform performance. - Monitor app performance post-launch and implement continuous improvements. - Ensure platform stability during high-traffic periods, particularly around live event moments. - Oversee UX/UI design to ensure the app is intuitive, accessible, and visually aligned with the Celebration Gala brand. - Champion user-centred design principles and accessibility best practices. - Work with design, marketing, and content teams to ensure a consistent digital experience. - Ensure best practice around data protection, privacy, and security, including GDPR compliance. - Define data architecture and analytics to support insights across user behaviour, engagement, and commercial performance. - Collaborate with commercial and sponsorship teams to enable compliant data-driven partnerships. - Act as the key internal owner for all app-related initiatives. - Collaborate closely with marketing, content, production, commercial, and operations teams. - Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, advisors, and investors on progress, risks, and opportunities.
