Data Architect

In this role, you will develop and implement cloud and data strategies that align with our business goals, utilizing AWS's full stack of data and analytics services alongside the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. You will design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-based data solutions to enable analytics, A.I./machine learning, and business intelligence. A key responsibility will be to design and implement a comprehensive data platform using Databricks on AWS, including Delta Lake, data warehouses, and lakehouse methodologies. You will champion best practices in data modelling, governance, and integration, focusing on transformation layers and data quality. Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams—including data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and governance specialists to deliver first-class data solutions—will be vital. Additionally, you will optimize data architecture for scalability, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness within a hybrid or cloud-first environment and provide expert advice on maximizing AWS and Databricks capabilities for data management and analytics. Mentorship of data engineers and architects within the wider team and development of a community of practice is also part of your journey. Finally, you will work with our Data A.I. Lead Consultant to establish best practices for cloud governance, security, and regulatory compliance while ensuring data solutions meet robust standards for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
