Must:
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in software testing, both manual and automation. You should have an excellent command of Core Java, with the ability to write and maintain clean, scalable automation code – ideally as someone with a background as a former Java developer. Hands-on experience with Selenium and BDD frameworks, such as JBehave, is essential, and exposure to Playwright or other end-to-end testing tools is a plus. A solid understanding of microservices architecture and inter-service communication is needed. You should be able to design and execute end-to-end testing across multiple services and environments. Experience working in Agile development environments is also required.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is necessary, and relevant QA certifications (ISTQB, CSTE) are advantageous. We value backgrounds as developers who have transitioned into QA, along with a preference for candidates with stable and progressive career histories.
Responsibilities
As part of our expanding engineering team, your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test cases for functional, system, and regression testing. You will build, maintain, and adapt automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and BDD tools such as JBehave. Performing manual testing to validate product features and workflows will also be part of your role. Close collaboration with developers will be vital to ensure robust coverage of our microservices-based systems. You will contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines through effective automation and test design, while also providing input on QA strategy, tooling, and process improvements as our team scales.

We are a rapidly growing fintech organization, transforming access to finance for small and medium-sized businesses. With over £150 million lent through our proprietary credit platform, we are redefining how business funding works, making it faster, simpler, and more transparent. This full-time, on-site role will be based in Farringdon, London, with a salary of up to £75,000 per annum. You will join a growing QA function that was established last year and is scaling alongside our development team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping QA strategy, processes, and best practices as we expand our technology and product offerings. The interview process will consist of a first round with the QA Manager, which will include a mix of technical discussion, QA methodologies, and assessing team fit. The second round will be a technical interview, conducted in-person at our Farringdon office.
