Requirements
Must:
- Significant experience in Data Architecture and delivering change
- Subject matter expert on data architecture and implementation of data management initiatives
- Proven success in providing deep Data architecture knowledge to large complex IT/Digital projects
- Ability to undertake data profiling and source system analysis
- Experience in evaluating, selecting, and onboarding architecture tools (LeanIX preferred)
- Ability to develop and analyze data standards
- Awareness of data alignment to end user needs
- Responsible for assurance of data solutions and compliance recommendations
- Proven experience in building effective relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Awareness of opportunities for innovation with new tools and uses of data
Responsibilities
- Design data models at different levels: conceptual, logical, and physical
- Define and maintain the data technology architecture, including metadata and data warehouse architecture
- Provide guidance for the upgrade, management, decommissioning, and archiving of data in compliance with related policies
- Support the Principal Data Architect to manage work packages through the enterprise architecture framework
- Manage issues arising from the Data Management Strategy implementation
- Take an active role in Architecture Governance to ensure system designs align with enterprise data architecture
- Implement identified opportunities for consolidation and data management tools
- Manage the plan for migration onto new data management platforms
- Champion data architecture internally and through collaboration across the Council
