Requirements
Must:
- Strong understanding of Additional Learning Support (ALS) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Experience supporting students with additional learning needs
- Ability to promote inclusive learning practices
- Proficient in analysing complex situations and identifying effective solutions
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Capability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records
- Strong digital skills, including experience with Microsoft 365 and accessibility tools
- Experience in evaluating new technologies and communicating technical information clearly
- Confident in handling challenging conversations professionally
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the SEND Code of Practice and the Equality Act 2010
Responsibilities
- Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to identify innovative assistive technologies
- Implement practical adjustments that enable students to access learning effectively
- Support the adaptation of teaching materials and assessments
- Develop accessible resources for students
- Guide students in using assistive tools to build confidence and independence
- Evaluate and manage assistive technology solutions
- Help remove barriers to learning
- Ensure students are supported to participate fully in their education and achieve their academic potential
