Requirements
Must:
- Experience of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) practices and techniques.
- Knowledge and experience of APIs, RESTful services and Microservice Architectures.
- Expert knowledge and extensive experience of developing on cloud-based environments like AWS and Azure.
- Knowledge and experience of SQL and NoSQL database applications such as Postgres, MySQL and MongoDB.
- Experience building a robust automated test suite to support a continuous deployment environment.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and communicating with stakeholders.
- Knowledge and extensive experience of modern Java technologies, frameworks, standards and design principles within large scale systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain stable, resilient software using Java, microservices and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Develop APIs and create accessible user interfaces.
- Contribute to automated test suites to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Work within multi-functional agile delivery teams alongside researchers, analysts, designers, and testers.
- Set best practices and build capability among more junior developers and engineers.
- Use the latest tools and technologies to build applications that cater to millions of users.
