We are looking for candidates who are cleared to DV level and willing to apply for UK security clearance if they do not currently hold it. You should have hands-on experience with one or more relevant technologies, including:
- Ingesting, transforming, enriching, and integrating data from diverse sources into well-structured information assets.
- Distributed computing techniques like parallel processing and batch workflow orchestration for handling large data volumes.
- ETL, data pipelines, and automated workflows for data movement and processing.
- Optimizing data systems for performance, scalability, reliability, and monitoring.
- Information security, including access controls and data encryption.
- Data governance, focusing on metadata management, data quality, and lineage tracking.
We specifically seek candidates with both technical and business-focused skills who can articulate the outcomes of their work. Experience is desired in the following areas:
- End-to-end development of data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Working with diverse data sources, including batch, streaming, and real-time data.
- Systems thinking and architectural design for scalable data solutions.
- Data modeling and warehouse design, along with database optimization.
- Managing distributed data systems and enhancing their reliability and performance.
- Strong coding skills with a focus on modularity and efficiency.
- Understanding of the full development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of data security and governance principles.
- Excellent communication skills to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.

Responsibilities
In your role, you will act as a connector between our customers’ needs and technical solutions. Your primary focus will be to make data valuable for our clients. This involves developing pipelines that ingest, transform, and enrich high volume and varied data into accessible and trustworthy information assets for actionable insights.
You will be accountable for deliverables and client stakeholder relationships, deploying agile methodologies to deliver solutions. You will often collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams across various industries and locations. Your responsibilities may include:
- Applying data engineering tools and integration frameworks to create standardized data for downstream use cases, such as AI and reporting.
- Designing and implementing high-quality data pipelines and coordinating efforts with other developers and engineers.
- Bringing innovation to address challenging data engineering problems.
- Architecting and implementing scalable solutions that benefit multiple teams and consumers.
- Developing logical and physical data models and governance strategies, while establishing standards across teams.
