Must:
We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with the following qualifications:
- Experience with authoring specifications throughout the full software lifecycle, including planning, design, and test documents.
- Proficiency in using formal requirements capture tools.
- Strong skills in requirements analysis and knowledge of source configuration control processes (e.g., PVCS, RTC, GIT).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Competency in debugging complex problems and producing necessary documentation to meet required safety levels.
- Significant experience in developing bare-metal embedded software using C/C++.
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience working in a team alongside members from other disciplines such as Systems, Integration, and Electronics.
Responsibilities
My role consists of delivering the on-board software for the next generation of missile systems. It is a hands-on position that involves:
- Architecting, designing, implementing, and testing missile subsystem software in accordance with the required standards and processes.
- Engaging fully in the software development lifecycle, ensuring all phases are executed with rigorous attention to safety and quality.
Description
I am part of MBDA, a world leader in missile and missile systems, located in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. This position is full-time onsite with an initial 6-month contract at £65 per hour, UMB, inside IR35. Candidates must have SC clearance in place prior to starting. We seek highly capable and adaptable engineers who are eager to work on safety-related real-time systems application software for the next generation of missile systems.
