Requirements
Must:
- Development skills in Python Scripting and Microsoft SQL Server (including SSIS)
- Experience building and operating ETL pipelines with a focus on data quality, lineage, and reconciliation
- Experience with microservices and APIs, building scalable services and integrating with wider enterprise platforms
- Exposure to a wider tech stack: GitHub, Kubernetes, Kafka, JIRA/Confluence, MongoDB
- Strong stakeholder and presentation skills for presenting POCs and product demos to senior non-technical stakeholders
- Preferred experience in anti-money laundering/sanctions screening technology
- Knowledge of AML environments, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, eComms/aComms, and trade surveillance
- Background in banking, financial services, or financial compliance environments

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end system architecture for anti-money laundering platforms including rule engines, alerting, and data pipelines
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and batch analytics
- Translate AML and regulatory requirements (KYC, CDD, CRR) into actionable technical logic and platform capabilities
- Collaborate closely with compliance, fincrime, risk, and product teams to prioritize features and act as the key technical bridge between business needs and platform teams
- Lead technical roadmap planning including breaking large initiatives into phases, assessing feasibility, estimating effort and impact, and proposing new technologies
- Oversee integrations with third-party data providers and ensure data quality, lineage, and reconciliation
- Prepare and maintain operational documentation in the document management system
- Support junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance
