Requirements
Must:
- Solid Linux administration and engineering skills (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
- Experience across HPC, clustering, or complex multi-node systems
- Skills with Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and scripting (Bash/Python)
- Confident communicator; able to present, lead discussions, and drive improvements
- Ready to step into a leadership/deputy position while remaining hands-on technically
Responsibilities
- Deliver Linux-based projects end-to-end: scope, proof-of-concept, implementation, and optimisation
- Provide 3rd-line (expert-level) support across high-performance and virtualised environments
- Research and integrate new technologies, including GPU compute, automation, and immersion cooling
- Lead stand-ups and updates when deputising for leadership, ensuring clear stakeholder communication
- Mentor and collaborate with a technically strong, close-knit team
