Requirements
Must:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5 years' Linux administration experience (ideally in an HPC environment)
- Deep troubleshooting and ITSM skills
- Proficiency with automation/configuration tools (Ansible, Puppet, GitLab, Terraform), containerization (Docker), and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl)
- Excellent project/time management and communication skills
- Adaptable, proactive problem-solver with leadership potential
- Desirable: Experience with DevOps (Kubernetes, OpenStack, CICD), cloud, virtualization, and LPIC/CompTIA/ITIL certification, GPU/RAID/HPC cluster experience
Responsibilities
- Own complex Linux troubleshooting, acting as the final escalation point
- Lead the deployment and handover of new technologies and platforms
- Scout, evaluate, and run Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for emerging tech solutions
- Project manage technical initiatives from scoping to deployment
- Collaborate globally to install, upgrade, and enhance infrastructure
- Define, maintain, and optimize IT standards for security and excellence
- Proactively monitor and optimize Linux systems for performance and compliance
- Participate in change, continual improvement, and 24/7 on-call support rotation
- Mentor colleagues, prepare documentation, and represent the team to stakeholders
