Requirements
Must:
I am looking for a candidate with at least 3 years of experience in supporting, troubleshooting, and deploying software solutions. You should have a solid background in software and systems engineering. Proficiency in Microsoft OS setup/troubleshooting, relational databases, networking, and common protocols is essential. A strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, along with analytical and methodical problem-solving skills, is also required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, as is the ability to work well in a team while maintaining self-motivation and a customer-focused approach. A degree in engineering or software, experience in customer service, system integration, code troubleshooting, process automation, SQL Server, DCOM, OPC, and Windows security would be desirable but is not essential.
Responsibilities
In this crucial role, I will expect you to provide expert support, troubleshooting, and guidance for end-users and engineers, whether remotely, by phone, or onsite. You will need to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve software and system issues quickly and accurately. Planning and implementing system health and preventative maintenance measures will be part of your responsibilities. You will also create and deliver engaging training courses for users and engineers, and develop and update best practice guides, FAQs, and knowledgebase articles. Additionally, you will deploy, configure, and update software solutions at customer sites, liaise with development teams on feedback and continuous improvements, and stay updated with new product releases and technologies. International travel may be required as needed to support customers and colleagues.

This is a permanent, office-based position located in Cowes, Isle of Wight, with an approximate salary of £46k plus a discretionary bonus. We offer 25 days of holiday, increasing with service, along with a 5% employer pension contribution, private healthcare after probation, and a death-in-service benefit.
