Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate who holds a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Development, or a similar field. You should have over 3 years of experience in software test automation within a development environment and proven experience with Selenium, along with skills in writing automated scripts in Java or Python. A strong understanding of structured software testing and development lifecycles is essential, as is hands-on experience with MS SQL, ASP.Net, and C# test environments. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are also important. Additionally, experience with Visual Studio IDE, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or cloud-based testing technologies, along with a strong awareness of current software testing trends, would be desirable.
Responsibilities
As a Software Automation Tester, I will lead, design, and execute automated test solutions to deliver robust, high-quality software. I will support and mentor fellow testers, ensuring adherence to best practices in automation and quality assurance. My responsibilities will include reviewing requirements and translating them into effective test automation scenarios. I will plan, create, and deliver functional, integration, and performance testing to defined metrics. Documenting test results, clearly reporting defects, and contributing to continuous process improvement will also be part of my role. Additionally, I will set up, configure, and deploy test environments.
Description
We are offering a competitive salary around £43,000, dependent on experience, along with 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays (with potential increases based on length of service).
