Requirements
Must:
- You must have SC clearance.
- Experience in programme support of technology projects within complex stakeholder/business environments.
- Experience working within a Portfolio Delivery Office and/or Programme Management Office.
- In-depth experience and competence in using MS Office tools.
- Experience of working within and understanding secure technology-based projects and programmes.
- Experience in managing project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Experience in implementing document management systems and document controls, with the ability to deal with sensitive information.
- Experience working on both Agile and Waterfall projects/programmes.
- Experience in stakeholder management and liaison at all levels.
Desirables:
- Experience in working in a secure environment.
Responsibilities
As a Project Support Officer (PSO), I will support several IT projects within the IT Pillar under the direction of the Programme/Portfolio Lead. My key responsibilities will include:
- Producing reports for appropriate governance Boards, providing a real-time and comprehensive view of all projects.
- Maintaining processes to ensure Programme and Project management documentation, reports, and plans are relevant, accurate, and complete.
- Running the programme/project plan and managing the consolidated Programme/Portfolio level milestone tracker.
- Managing dependencies within the ICT portfolio delivery and maintaining a file plan/structure for the management of all ICT documentation.
- Generating various regular and ad-hoc documentation for projects and programmes when required.
- Supporting risks and issues planning and management by collating, reporting, and assisting in producing mitigation plans.
- Sharing lessons learned and best practices within the PMO while building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Working with Senior Management to identify and resolve issues impacting the portfolio of programmes/projects.
- Supporting individual projects by providing advice on governance, planning, change control, and benefits realization.
- Providing quality assurance to ensure that programmes and projects are well managed and adhere to standards set by the IT Pillar’s central PMO.
- Maintaining finance and budget plans and overseeing purchase order generation, receipting, and tracking.
- Ensuring pipeline plans are in place for continuity across projects, managing relevant paperwork for resource availability, and adhering to vetting processes.
- Organizing, managing, and facilitating portfolio meetings, both locally and nationally.
- Supporting the change control process through the completion of required documentation and related activities, such as impact assessments.
