Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of experience or related experience in designing and building highly redundant network infrastructure for campus networks with an emphasis on ZeroTrust, SD-WAN and Wireless.
- A strong candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of OSI Layer and its application.
- 7+ years of experience or related experience applying network and security principles within a cloud infrastructure deployment.
- Demonstrated experience in secure transport methods (SSH,TLS,IPSEC), IAM, VPCs and connectivity such as IaaS peering and VPN solutions.
- Strong track record of delivering resilient network systems and services with a focus on delivering amazing experiences for end users.
- Strong hands-on technical skills with the ability to drill deep into complex network system design and implementation.
- Familiarity with APIs and designing solutions that leverage interfaces to build network automation or capabilities such as dashboarding or monitoring.
- Strong experience in previous implementations of Palo Alto Networks Global Protect Prisma Access VPN solutions, including network capabilities in AWS and hybrid scenarios.
- Working knowledge of SD-WAN (Palo Alto Networks SD-WAN solution).
- Must have experience with the Aruba wireless ecosystem (Aruba switches/APs and central).
- Comfortable programming in languages such as Spark, Python, Node.js, Golang, or Scala is ideal.
Responsibilities
- Manage Databricks LAN, WAN, and VPN approach by designing and implementing highly available, redundant, and low-latency company campus networks.
- Provide infrastructure that is both secure and performant while delivering amazing experiences for stakeholders through technologies such as SD-WAN and WIFI6/7 solutions.
- Develop and implement network automation for scale and predictability, leveraging common languages and configuration as code such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Facilitate partnerships with security and compliance teams to ensure the network is based on seamless security design.
- Assist Corporate Engineering leadership in capacity planning, driving outcomes and network roadmap through network analytics and stakeholder feedback.
- Conduct knowledge transfer, transparency, enablement, and mentoring of team members and vendors.
- Maintain detailed system documentation and contribute towards monitoring and metrics for SRE functions.
- Maintain vendor relationships.
