We are looking for candidates with in-depth experience in Unit4 ERP technical architecture, datasets, and data dictionaries. A strong SQL development background (T-SQL or PL/SQL) is essential. Proven experience with Unit4 ERP integration routines and interfaces (e.g., GL07, CS15, LG04) is required. Proficiency in web services technologies (REST, SOAP), including JSON/XML and tools like Postman or SoapUI, is important. We also seek experience with PowerShell scripting, Liquid Scripting, or similar automation tools. Familiarity with reporting frameworks (RERX, ARC conversions, Xtra) is highly desirable. Candidates should possess the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues independently, as well as excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will design and build advanced technical solutions across Unit4 ERP, including reports, integrations, and extensions. You'll be responsible for translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications and data models. Your tasks will also include developing and optimising SQL queries and stored procedures across T-SQL or PL/SQL environments, building and maintaining REST and SOAP APIs to support seamless system integrations, and creating and converting reports using RERX, ARC, and Xtra while applying best practices for performance and maintainability. Additionally, you will use scripting (PowerShell, Liquid) to automate processes and streamline delivery. Conducting system testing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve complex technical issues will be part of your duties, as will supporting pre-sales and project scoping by advising on technical feasibility and effort estimation. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor and guide less experienced consultants in coding standards, integration design, and troubleshooting techniques.

You will play a key role in defining technical strategy, developing custom extensions, reports, and integrations, and ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and high-performing. Your expertise will be vital to providing technical direction and guidance to a small team, ensuring best practices and knowledge sharing across projects. The position is permanent and fully remote within the UK, offering a salary range of £65,000 to £80,000 plus a bonus.
