Requirements
Must:
- Experience working as a Product Owner or in a similar delivery-focused role
- Strong experience working closely with software engineering teams
- Proven ability to break down complex problems into clear, actionable requirements
- Comfortable working in agile environments (Scrum / Kanban)
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Able to work effectively in environments with ambiguity and changing priorities
- Background in a software or product-led organisation (desirable)
- Experience working with tools such as GitHub, Jira or similar (desirable)
- Understanding of software development processes and technical concepts (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Translate product roadmap into epics, user stories, and detailed requirements
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities are clear and aligned
- Work closely with engineering teams to plan, deliver, and iterate on features
- Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Track delivery progress, provide clear updates, and surface risks early
- Remove blockers and ensure the team remains focused and productive
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to balance priorities
- Make informed trade-offs to maximise value delivery
Description
We are a leading software organisation looking to hire a Technical Product Owner for a 6-month contract. This role allows the successful candidate to work remotely from the UK and offers a competitive rate of £550 - £580 per day (Inside IR35). As part of our dynamic engineering team, you will work closely with a Product Manager to drive the delivery of high-quality digital products in a fast-paced, agile environment.
