Requirements
Must:
- Strong commercial experience with Golang and/or C#/.NET (ideally both)
- Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Knowledge of automated testing strategies
- Understanding of health checks and resilience patterns
- Experience with AWS services including ALB, IAM, and core networking
- Proficient with relational databases: Postgres and/or MSSQL on AWS (RDS and/or Athena)
- Experience with monitoring and observability using Datadog
- Comfortable working autonomously in ambiguous environments
- Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban)
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design decisions and own complex services/components
- Work closely with engineering, product, and platform teams
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Drive continuous delivery best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using modern observability tooling
Description
We are a leading software company offering a 6-month contract for a Senior Golang DevOps Engineer. This remote position provides a competitive rate of £550 - £600 per day (inside IR35). Our team values collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, and we are looking for someone who can take ownership of complex system components and lead technical decisions in a cloud-native environment.
