Requirements
Must:
- Degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in operations, systems, or software engineering
- Linux experience and scripting (Python and/or Perl)
- Strong problem-solving skills in complex environments
- Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Valid UKIC DV Clearance (required)
- Desirable: Flask, Jupyter Notebooks
Responsibilities
- Monitor system and subsystem performance and produce status reports
- Investigate and respond to anomalous system behaviour
- Implement system performance improvements (scripting, SOP updates)
- Support system reconfiguration and special operations activities
- Maintain equipment health to ensure high mission readiness
- Contribute to operational documentation and redundancy planning
- Participate in ongoing technical training and development
Description
We are looking to recruit a Linux Systems Engineer for our global organisation. Working in our Operations & Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for supporting critical systems within a highly secure, technology-driven environment. Youll play a key part in monitoring, maintaining, and optimising complex systems that support national-level programmes. This is a hybrid role based out of Harrogate, with flexible working options available. We offer a competitive salary between £60,000 - £80,000 along with various benefits.
