Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience operating as an Enterprise Architect within complex organisations
- Experience aligning business strategy to enterprise-wide technical roadmaps
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF essential; Zachman desirable)
- Practical experience using modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect
- Experience working across multi-disciplinary delivery teams
- Knowledge of secure development practices and solution security principles (e.g. OWASP, NCSC guidance)
- Understanding of data protection best practice (e.g. GDPR)
- Experience establishing architecture governance and standards
- TOGAF certification
- Highly Desirable: Experience working within secure or Defence environments
- Active SC clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance
- Experience within UK Central Government
- Familiarity with ArchiMate or similar modelling languages
Responsibilities
- Own and develop enterprise architecture vision, strategy and roadmaps (as-is, to-be and transition states)
- Translate business strategy into technology and data delivery plans
- Lead cross-cutting architectural capabilities that enable organisational change
- Establish and govern architecture principles, policies and standards
- Ensure adherence to corporate, industry and national security standards
- Collaborate with delivery, engineering and security teams to embed architecture across programmes
- Provide architectural oversight across portfolios and transformation initiatives
- Contribute to bids and proposals as a pre-sales architect where required
- Mentor and develop internal architectural capability and standards
- Identify and assess emerging technologies, evaluating their strategic relevance and impact
- Engage confidently with senior stakeholders, providing authoritative advice that balances value for money, scalability, sustainability and risk
Description
We are a leading digital solutions provider looking to recruit an SC Cleared Enterprise Architect. This is a permanent role that offers a hybrid working arrangement (2/3 days a week on-site) based in Andover or from home. The salary ranges from £100,000 to £120,000, along with benefits. You will have the opportunity to work within a secure Defence environment, shaping the enterprise-wide architecture vision and ensuring alignment of our technology strategy with operational outcomes across complex programmes.
