Responsibilities

- You will ensure your clinical practice is safe and effective, staying within your boundaries of competence and recognizing your limitations. - I expect you to contribute to clinical leadership within the practice. - You will be involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating minor illness and chronic disease management programs, including asthma, diabetes, COPD, CHD, hypertension, and anti-coagulation. This list is not exhaustive, and part of your role will involve discussing with the partners which other areas of care might be suited to nurse management. You will carry managerial and clinical responsibility for your own caseload, and patients will have direct access to you. - Developing your role in the care of minor illnesses and injuries is essential, which includes the competence to see an undifferentiated caseload while recognizing your scope of practice. - You will prescribe medication for patients as appropriate, in partnership with the GP, and maintain your prescribing competencies. - I expect you to be involved in regular medication reviews and medicines management. - You will request and interpret tests as appropriate to patient needs. - Referrals to other health professionals in primary and secondary care will also be part of your responsibilities. Patients requiring referrals to secondary care should be discussed with the registered GP. - Providing clinical advice and support to other healthcare professionals and external agencies is an important aspect of your role.

I am looking for an experienced paramedic who will work as part of our clinical team, providing high-quality healthcare to patients. The role includes offering treatment and advice for acute and minor illnesses, and holding a prescribing qualification is ideal. You may be required to work across one of our six sites. This is a full-time position with a salary range of £38,659.00 to £48,967.00 per year, based on experience. Additional benefits include a company pension and free parking.
