Must:
- I must hold, or have the ability to achieve a DV Security Clearance, which requires 10 years of UK residency with no more than 28 days out of the country at a time.
- I need to possess excellent communication and time management skills.
- I should showcase proven administration skills.
- A minimum degree level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent level of relevant experience is essential; an Engineering degree is preferred.
- Previous experience with Juniper, Fortinet, and Cisco is necessary.
- Broad ICT and satellite communications experience is highly desirable.
- Professional registration is desirable, with a minimum experience of Cisco CCNA or equivalent, or Juniper at a similar level.
Responsibilities
- I am responsible for providing design and configuration of Mod/Gov Projects.
- I will liaise with the projects office for the delivery of assigned work.
- I am tasked with testing and evaluating new equipment as directed.
- I will deliver assigned projects in accordance with project specifications.
- I must ensure that all drawing work and technical documentation are provided.
- I will verify technical equipment in alignment with project specifications.
- When required, I will visit customer sites in support of projects.
- I will define IP structures for new projects and provide guidance to the teams.
- I need to define equipment lists and specifications for the projects office.
- I will verify new software, ensuring that each build meets test criteria and efficiency.
- I will support customer meetings for future projects and enhancements, especially those requiring an understanding of the customer's needs.
- I will be a proactive member of the Duty MoD/Gov engineer rota and support structure.
- I am expected to provide supporting information for new technical proposals.
- I will provide training as required for new systems.
- I will liaise with MoD/Gov agencies as required for any trials.
- I need to be flexible in attitude and availability for MoD/Gov customers' needs.
- I will undertake relevant tasks as detailed in the Global Security Organisation Document.
Description
I understand that this position is for a Systems Engineer with a salary range of £45,000 - £50,000, plus benefits, and is based in Redhill. During the probation period, I will be required to work on site five days a week, with the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays thereafter.
