Requirements
Must:
- Candidates must possess a current DV level security clearance.
- Strong knowledge and experience with:
- VMWare
- Microsoft Desktop and Server
- Containerization
- PKI (Public Key Infrastructure)
- Microservices architecture
- Designing hardened systems
- Must be willing to actively engage in hands-on work, not limited to just design tasks.
- A quick learner who can rapidly assimilate new technologies.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with VMWare VCF
- Knowledge of micro-segmentation
- Familiarity with HSMs (Hardware Security Modules)
- Understanding of zero trust architecture
- Experience in air-gapped environments
Responsibilities
As a Solutions Architect / Infrastructure Architect, I will expect you to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in developing and deploying Cross Domain Solutions, including design, usage, testing, and assurance.
- A solid understanding of the NCSC patterns and guidance for safely importing and exporting data.
- The ability to evaluate the marketplace for products that meet the solution's functional requirements.
- The capability to translate technical requirements into specifications for software developers.
- Skills to discern user requirements and convert them into a coherent solution design.
- The ability to present complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with both hardware and software-based cross-domain approaches.
- Strong knowledge in cryptography and public key infrastructure.
- Familiarity with MOD systems and processes, including assurance processes.
It would also be advantageous to have experience working with:
- MOD and Defence Digital processes and services.
- Secure by design methodologies in development.
- Data-Centric Security principles.
- Hardsec Cross Domain appliances.
- Cloud deployment automation.
- Strong networking skills.
Description
This position offers an opportunity to work 4 to 5 days a week in Farnborough, Hampshire, with a daily rate of £650 - £725 outside IR35.
