Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in Government Digital Service (GDS).
- Thorough knowledge of design thinking and user-centered design.
- Strong track record of leading service design projects, delivering measurable outcomes.
- Ability to produce high-quality service design and user experience artifacts, including personas, user journeys, prototypes, and blueprints.
- Expertise in synthesizing user insights, market data, and global trends into user experiences.
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with clients and developers, balancing user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.
- Experience in usability testing to continuously iterate ideas and designs.
- Keen interest in UX design best practices and trends with an ability to incorporate these into deliverables.
- Experience running workshops and presenting deliverables to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of service design projects, ensuring a user-centered approach.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Develop high-quality design artifacts that communicate user experiences clearly and effectively.
- Engage in usability testing and apply feedback to refine designs.
- Run workshops with clients and present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX design to enhance deliverables.
Description
We are a global leading IT consultancy seeking a Senior Service Designer for a remote position with occasional travel to Leeds. This is a 3-month contract offering a daily rate between £550-£580, inside IR35.
