We are looking for a Clearable/SC Cleared Infrastructure Engineer who can demonstrate knowledge of the following key skills: - Windows Server 2016 administration - VMware vSphere/vCenter/VCF - Azure/Microsoft 365 administration - Linux (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu) - PowerShell - EUD provisioning (Autopilot), maintenance, patching, and hardening - SSO - concepts and operations - An understanding of working in protectively marked environments Additionally, desirable skills include Kubernetes administration (e.g., VMware TKGI), DevSec Ops Tooling, Elastic, Nessus, Application Packaging, HashiCorp Terraform, and HashiCorp Vault. All applicants must be able to undergo and obtain Security Clearance, which requires a minimum of 5 years of UK residency and must hold British nationality as their sole or primary nationality.

Responsibilities

During your induction, we will outline specific responsibilities, which are likely to include: - Maintaining, improving, and securing our multi-classification virtualized collaboration and development environments - Working with IT infrastructure colleagues to enhance Secure by Design capabilities both internally and across projects - Providing infrastructure support for public cloud SaaS offerings (such as Office 365) as well as project-based systems in various cloud environments (public, private, and hybrid) - Performing maintenance tasks on infrastructure through change control processes - Assisting with monitoring, management, and project-based ticketing and alerting systems for new changes and security alerts - Triage monitoring alerts and take appropriate actions - Maintaining monitoring components in line with infrastructure developments - Ensuring all platforms are patched according to provider recommendations and security policy - Quickly assessing the impact of incidents, initiating return to service actions, and ensuring completion of follow-up actions - Identifying trends and problems and planning changes to enhance stability and performance - Keeping up-to-date with the design and build of secure public, private, and hybrid cloud and network technologies - Developing personal knowledge through study and research towards vocational certifications in relevant technologies and vendors - Advising customers and project teams on infrastructure and support aspects - Cascading knowledge through articles for the team and the wider organization

This role is based in Hampshire and requires 4 to 5 days on-site per week. The salary ranges from £50,000 to £60,000, accompanied by a bonus, pension, private medical, and other benefits.
