Requirements
Must:
We require candidates who hold DV clearance and have extensive experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect, specializing in Microsoft-based identity solutions. You should have a proven ability to design and deliver new, greenfield identity and access management environments. We expect deep expertise in Windows Server 2022 and Active Directory architecture and management, ADFS configuration, and federation trusts. Familiarity with standard protocols such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect is essential, along with a strong background in Single Sign-On (SSO) design and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) implementation. A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, routing, firewalls, and load balancing in relation to identity infrastructure, is also required. Additionally, experience providing technical leadership to engineering teams, including mentoring and code or configuration reviews, along with excellent communication and documentation skills, is necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design of an on-premise identity solution using Microsoft Windows Server 2022, Active Directory, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). You will take ownership of the solution architecture, setting the technical direction, standards, and design principles for the new identity environment. Your responsibilities will include leading and mentoring engineers throughout the implementation and support phases to ensure high-quality delivery aligns with the architectural intent. You will design and configure federation services with other on-premise identity providers to enable secure and seamless authentication across systems. Additionally, you will develop and implement SSO and RBAC models aligned with business and security requirements, collaborate with stakeholders across various teams, and produce comprehensive architecture and design documentation. Lastly, you will provide technical governance and ongoing support for the solution post-deployment, ensuring its stability, scalability, and compliance.
Description
We are offering an 8-month contract with a rate of £700-720 per day, inside IR35, for a full-time position on-site in North West Wiltshire (5 days per week).
