We are looking for a DV Cleared Infrastructure Engineer who can demonstrate knowledge in the following areas: Essential Key Skills: - Windows Server 2016 administration - VMware vSphere/vCenter/VCF - Azure/Microsoft 365 administration - Linux (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu) - PowerShell - EUD provisioning (Autopilot), maintenance, patching, and hardening - SSO - concepts and operation - Understanding of working in protectively marked environments Desirable Skills: - Kubernetes administration (e.g., VMware TKGI) - DevSec Ops Tooling - Elastic Nessus - Application Packaging - HashiCorp Terraform - HashiCorp Vault - Experience working in Agile sprints ---

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be defined during the induction but are likely to include: - Maintaining, improving, and securing our multi-classification, virtualized, collaboration, and development environments - Working with IT infrastructure colleagues to enhance Secure by Design capabilities internally and across projects - Providing infrastructure support to public cloud SaaS offerings (Office 365) and project-based systems (public, private, and hybrid clouds) throughout implementation and support lifecycles - Performing maintenance tasks on the infrastructure through change control - Assisting with monitoring and managing project-based ticketing and alerting systems for new changes and security alerts - Triage monitoring alerts and perform appropriate actions - Maintaining monitoring components in line with infrastructure developments - Ensuring all platforms are patched according to provider recommendations and security policy - Quickly and accurately assessing the impact of incidents, initiating return to service, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed - Identifying trends and problems, planning changes to enhance stability and performance - Keeping cutting-edge knowledge and skills in the design and build of secure public, private, and hybrid cloud and network technologies - Developing personal knowledge through study and research towards vocational certifications in relevant technologies/vendors - Advising customers and project teams on infrastructure and support aspects - Cascading knowledge through articles for the team and the wider organization ---

This role is based in Farnborough, requiring 4 to 5 days on-site per week. The salary ranges from £50,000 to £60,000, along with a bonus, pension, private medical, and other benefits.
