Requirements
Must:
- Candidates must be eligible for or currently hold SC or DV clearance
- Sole UK national/British citizen
- Resided in the UK for 10 years and over
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Working knowledge of ITIL best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with a desire to improve processes
- Willingness to share knowledge and learn from others
- Proactive approach towards identifying risks and problems
- Proficiency in UNIX/Linux systems (e.g., Red Hat, Debian, Solaris, AIX)
- Experience with shell scripting (Bash, KornShell)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef)
- Knowledge of process and job control (cron, at, systemd timers)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, FTP)
- Experience in filesystem management (LVM, ext4, XFS, ZFS)
- Skills in performance tuning and monitoring tools (top, vmstat, iostat, sar, netstat)
- Exposure to automation software (Ansible/Puppet)
- Knowledge of scripting with Bash, Python, and/or Git
- Experience with AWS
- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Knowledge of virtualization and containers (KVM, VMware, Docker, Podman)
Responsibilities
- Provide first and second level technical support on incidents and problems
- Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality
- Create, maintain, and utilize documentation
- Assist in building compliance with processes and policies
