Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with OWL, RDF, and SPARQL
- Practical experience with graph databases (Neo4j, GraphDB, Apache Jena, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data architecture and integration techniques
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar programming languages for semantic data processes
- Ability to troubleshoot ontology logic and query performance
- Familiarity with metadata standards (Dublin Core, schema.org)
- Experience integrating semantic technologies with AI/LLM workflows
- Proven track record of embedding semantic layers into enterprise systems
- Hands-on experience with tools like Protégé, semantic reasoners, or cloud-based graph services (AWS Neptune, Azure Cosmos DB)
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ontologies using OWL/RDF to model enterprise data domains and relationships
- Create and manage enterprise knowledge graphs that unify diverse data sources
- Develop and optimise SPARQL queries for advanced data retrieval and analytics
- Implement semantic validation rules (e.g., SHACL, OWL constraints) for data integrity and interoperability
- Embed semantic models into data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise workflows
- Enable AI agents and LLMs to leverage ontologies and knowledge graphs for context-aware reasoning
- Stay current with semantic web standards and contribute to internal guidelines for semantic data management
