Requirements

Must:
- Proven experience in scripting to automate processes, eliminating manual tasks, and implementing infrastructure and configuration as code. - Demonstrated ability to build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery. - Experience developing and supporting cloud-based applications in AWS & Azure. - Strong experience in resolving complex technical incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and swift recovery. - Expertise in reliability engineering, including capacity and performance management through effective monitoring, logging, and alerting. - Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, providing valuable feedback and support while leading teams effectively, mentoring junior engineers, and driving improvements in working practices.

Responsibilities

In this role, I will ensure our applications and infrastructure are reliable, secure, and scalable. I will work closely with development teams from the design stage, guiding them to build systems that follow best practices and meet department standards. By leading by example, I will mentor other Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and drive improvements within the teams. A significant part of my duties will involve creating and maintaining detailed runbooks to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently. I will automate repetitive tasks to reduce toil and ensure monitoring is in place to spot issues before they escalate. In the event of major incidents, I will take the lead in coordinating the appropriate personnel to restore services swiftly. Additionally, I will manage error budgets, review high-priority incidents, and foster a culture of engineering ownership across the organization.
