Must:
We are seeking experienced Senior Technical Architects who possess a strong background in architecture design across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. You should have expertise in networking, security, presentation, middleware, database, and integration aspects. Familiarity with architecture design principles, patterns, technical radars, practices, and standards is essential. You will need to work with project delivery teams in agile, waterfall, and hybrid environments throughout the entire lifecycle—from concept to go-live. A crucial part of the role will involve translating business requirements into technical solutions with clear traceability. Additionally, experience in architecture modeling techniques and tools, microservice and API-led architecture, and event-based architecture design is required.
Responsibilities
In your role as a Senior Technical Architect, you will design, implement, and oversee the architecture of IT solutions aimed at improving services for millions of DWP users. You will collaborate effectively with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to create efficient solution designs that meet user needs. Ensuring technical quality and adherence to DWP's Digital Blueprint, Enterprise Architecture, and Product Roadmaps will be key to your responsibilities. You are expected to lead the architectural governance of these solutions while being a skilled technical expert, good communicator, and leader throughout the process.
